The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) was founded on March 14, 2008, the former National Regulatory Agency for Telecommunications and Informatics (ANRTI) being reorganised. Former ANRTI was founded on August 17, 2000, being one of the first regulatory telecommunications authorities in the post-Soviet space. The Agency is a central public authority whose mission is to regulate the activity in electronic communications and information technology sector, to ensure the implementation of sector development strategies and supervise compliance of electronic communications network and/or service providers with the legislation.
The State Enterprise "National Radio Frequency Center" (Center) is a state enterprise, based on the self-financing and is under the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications - the principal founder of the enterprise. The Center was founded in 1993. The main task of the State Enterprise "National Radio Frequency Center" is to ensure the necessities of national economy and of the population with radio frequencies/channels for providing different kind of services, and has been focused on the one hand to provide the radio frequency spectrum needs of national new and existing users, and on the other - to ensure protection of national frequency assignments, including international protection.
