European Commission approved participation of CRA at meetings of BEREC

Sarajevo, 02 April 2019 - Referring to the Stabilization and Association Agreement, the 2018 Enlargement Strategy, and in general the need for stronger cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union in the field of telecommunications, the European Commission in Brussels issued a decision authorizing participation of the communications regulatory body in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Communications Regulatory Agency) at the meetings of the Board of Regulators, the BEREC Working Groups and the BEREC Office, starting from the date of entry into force of this Decision, i.e., from 18 March 2019.

Among others, the body of European regulators for electronic communications (from the EU) provides support in the implementation of the EU regulatory framework in electronic communications to the European Commission and regulatory bodies.

The adoption of this decision will further enable the Agency to harmonize faster with the current regulatory framework in the European Union, which will further strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina's implementation of the Digital Agenda for the Western Balkans. Read more, on CRA's website, here...
