DIGI and Vodafone won 3400-3800 MHz auction
Budapest, 7 June 2016 – Hungarian telecommunications authority (NMHH) announced that DIGI and Vodafone won the auction for the rights to use the radio frequencies in the 3400-3800 MHz bands. The two winners acquired the utilisation rights for a total of 80 MHz in the 3400-3800 MHz frequency band for almost HUF 900 million. Vodafone received six user basic blocks (2x30 MHz) in the lower band and DIGI – four basic blocks (20 MHz) in the upper band. The winning bidders will be entitled to use the frequencies until 2034.
