Decision laying down the pace of lowering the price of roaming

The  Council of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro, after public consultations with the operators of public mobile communications networks that provide public mobile communications services in the territory of Montenegro, made at its session held on 10 March 2015 a Decision establishing the dynamics of reducing the prices of roaming services, which the operators of public mobile communications network operating in the territory of Montenegro, such as Crnogorski Telekom A.D. Podgorica, Telenor .D.O.O. Podgorica and M-Tel D.O.O. Podgorica are obliged to apply according to the Agreement on reducing the prices of roaming services on public mobile communications networks signed between the ministries responsible for electronic communications in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Serbia and Montenegro.

The Decision sets the maximum wholesale and retail prices of roaming services.

The prices set by the Decision that set the above-mentioned prices will be implemented by periods, i.e.: from 30th June 2015 to 30th June 2016, and from  1st July 2016 to 30th June 2017; from 1st July 2017 etc. Maximum retail prices of roaming services (without VAT) with effect from 30th June 2015 relate to the following services:

1) Retail price of outgoing calls will amount to 0.29€ / min, representing a decrease of approximately 50% compared to the current average price;

2) Retail prices of incoming calls will amount to 0.08€ / min, representing a decrease of approximately 70% compared to the current average price;

3) The retail price of text messages SMS will amount to 0.09€ /SMS, which is a decrease of approximately 50% compared to the current average price;

4) Retail prices for data transmission services will amount to 0.70€ /MB, representing a decrease of approximately 70% compared to the current average price.

In addition to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP), identical decisions that determine the dynamics of reducing the prices of roaming services have also been adopted and published on corresponding websites by the regulators of electronic communications of Serbia (RATEL) and Macedonia (AEC), and B&H regulator (CRA) is also expected to act accordingly.
