Cooperation between Serbia and Turkey
Ankara, 9 October 2019 - A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Serbian Electronic Communications and Postal Services Regulatory Authority (RATEL) and Turkey's Information and Communications Technologies Authority (BTK).
During the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Serbia, an agreement was reached in Belgrade to further strengthen the existing cooperation in the field of electronic communication and postal services between BTK and RATEL.
The current memorandum of understanding signed between the two institutions in Istanbul in 2013 was revised and revised according to the changing conditions. The text, updated to reflect the latest developments, was signed on behalf of BTK by Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, and on behalf of RATEL, by Chairman of the Board Dragan Kovačevıć.
Cooperation areas included in the MoU; regulation of electronic communication markets, information technologies and applications, regulation of postal services and other issues to be mutually agreed. Within these areas, it is envisaged to share information, documents, experience and experts between the two institutions, to consult on various issues and to organize joint workshops, seminars, study visits.
The MoU in question is an indicator of the deepening cooperation between the two countries in the field of electronic communication and postal services and of the intentions of the parties to develop existing friendship relations. Read more, on BTK website, here...
